Arna Banerjee

Arna has been an Odissi dancer for nearly a decade. Her experience with dance has led her to challenging herself more, making many friends, and a bigger appreciation for her culture. Arna hopes that in future years her dance skills will expand and that she can learn more about other dance forms.

Ariana Elahi

Ariana is a high school student who has been dancing Odissi since the age of 10. She has been involved in many cultural programs since a very young age, participating in dances, poem recitations, as well as plays, and has always loved to create.

Jahnavee Chakravarty

Jahnavee (more commonly known as Ritu) attends Thomas S. Wootton High School. As an intern here at Mayur, she hopes to attract a larger audience through blog posts and other writing projects.

Ramya Griddaluri

Ramya has been part of Mayur Dance Academy since 2008, and she is currently a rising junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.

Srijani Chakraborty

Srijani has trained at Mayur since the age of 3. Outside of dancing, she likes to explore art, theater, and other creative pursuits.

Oishee Ghosh

Oishee is a 13-year-old artist who enjoys dancing Odissi, and taking part in other performance art fields. She is very excited to go to high school next year and learn new skills and dances.
